Harm’s Way went to Minneapolis this past weekend to play with Blacklisted and a few others at a show that Grimes set up.

Keeping in theme with my normal posts, this wont be about the shows, more about what we saw/did on the way to and from Minneapolis (and some stuff I saw before we left).

I saw this van in the alley near my work before we left… I wish we owned it.

I also took a trip to Indiana one Thursday morning for a Cracker Barrel breakfast and a stop at the Cabela’s taxidermy museum, where we saw this:

If you haven’t been here, basically in the middle of the giant store they have this fake mountain with a water fall and all kinds of stuffed animals all over it. I would willingly live in this thing, as there is a cave and several bears.

Flash forward to a few days later and James, Chris, Andrew, and myself are packed snuggly in James’ Focus on our way to Minneapolis. We stopped at the Oasis on 90-W and got some breakfast.

Look at this thing. This is another place I would willingly live in, look at how happy it is in there! It’s a child’s dream.

We eventually made our way to some outlet malls and one our way back to the car James discovered Chris’ creative addition to James’ car.

This magnet is somewhere in the parking lot of KNUCKLE HEADS BOWLING, go get it.

So we got to the venue, we played, they played and it was awesome. First good Minneapolis show I have ever played, it was good seeing our tour buddies again. Their tour isn’t over yet so if you live east of Chicago, check it out here .

After the show we wanted to go to Pizza Luce to get some “whacky pizza”. They do stuff like mashed potato pizza and vegan pizza and stuff, so we wanted something like that. Unfortunately we found out upon arriving, and after trying to find our way through that backwards city for a half hour, that they don’t make the whacky stuff by the slice. I got 2 slices of cheese and regretted it immediately.

After we left though, my night was made:

Chris and I found these costumes on the ground and put them on almost immediately.

I was Pacman, Chris was Clyde, James was a casualty.

We drove for a few hours that night and eventually got a room just outside of the Dells for the night. The next day we woke up and planned to hit the arcade/go-kart activities in the dells, but first thing was first, breakfast. We went to Cracker Barrel (yes, for those of you keeping score at home, this was my second time at a Cracker Barrel in a week) and I got the french toast again, shit is incredible there.

We eventually made it to the Kalahari arcade and indoor amusement park, our biggest goal was to ride the go-karts they had. Unfortunately we quickly realized that the go-karts were pathetic, I am positive I could somersault faster than them “driving” at full speed.

Andrew took this opportunity to prove his manhood:

I know you can’t really see much, but if you look carefully you can see his beard in the roped canopy.

I got tricked into swiping my game card in a lame ass racing game that no one else wanted to play, luckily Chris took the wheel and I snapped a quick action shot:

We did not win.

So we had to leave this video game paradise to head back home for the show that night. We got there and had to get the rest of our equipment, everything was on track untillll:

James got fucking pulled over for blowing the light at North and Ashland, he is literally the only person I have ever been with who got pulled over in the city.

Now one would think I would talk about the show and such, but I won’t.
